GENERAL INFO ON WHAT YOUR PUPPY WILL RECEIVE BELOW

** WHEN WILL MY PUPPY FIRST SEE THE VET** 

Here at Henderson Labrador Puppies, the health of your puppy is very important. After your puppy is born we let them rest with the mother for 3 days and then we ourselves remove the dew claws.. It is non-painful and your puppy will not remember anything about it.
After 2 weeks your puppy along with his/her mother are wormed.. They are wormed by us here are Henderson Labradors with Safeguard (given 3 day in a row). This cycle is performed every 2 weeks until you puppy goes to his/her new home.. Even though your puppy shows to have no worms, your puppy might be retaining worms or larvae. Your Vet will assign you a worming schedule if necessary.
At the age of 4 weeks your puppy is given their first shot NeoPar shot. (PARVO,Given by Henderson Labs). At 6 weeks of age your puppy will receive their 2nd set of shots (5 way, giving by Henderson Labrador Puppies). Your puppy will need shots again at the age of 9 ,12 & 16 weeks of age. Rabie shot is given when your puppy is 16 weeks of age. Heartworm tablets need to be started at 12 weeks of age.  We strongly urge for you to wait for a least 1 week until you give  your puppy a shot due to the fact that a vaccination can do very little  if given directly after Puppy has had its maiden Plane Ride and has not fully transitioned into its new family.

**WHEN WILL MY PUPPY BE INTRODUCED TO FOOD AND WATER**
Your Puppy has been on a High Quality Diet.  We start our puppies on soft Purina Puppy Food at 3 weeks of age.  They nibble with Mother at this time and start the change over to solid food very well.  At five weeks plus, the weaning starts and by six to eight weeks the pups are on the food and mother is relaxing.  Six weeks to about 1 year, we keep them on Purina Puppy Food.  1 year of age we blend in "Purina Puppy & Purina Adult dog food.  This food is available at most Petco/PetSmart, Walmart type stores.  It is very important to keep them on a High Quality Puppy Food to ensure they get the nutrients they need when they are growing up.  There are many foods available and if you prefer a different brand that has been proven to you in the past, slowly mix it in with the Purina Puppy Chow and your puppy will do just fine.  Do this over a period of about one to two weeks for best results. 
 We free feed our puppies to insure that they get plenty of food throughout the day.  Your puppies eating habits will change once in your home. If puppy gobbles, feed him/her a little more, if he/she leaves some, feed him/her a little less.  Your puppy will adjust to its new home and eating habits will be more stable.  If your puppy doesn't seem to want to eat at first in its new home, don't be alarmed. Your puppy has a whole new world to explore and sometimes eating will have to come later!

**WHAT RECORDS WILL I GET WITH MY NEW PUPPY**
 We have a very strict preventative medical program that we follow here at Henderson Labradors.  Our Vaccinations and Wormers are listed below. This Medical record MUST be brought to your Vet.  Your Vet will see what has been given to your puppy and put your puppy on a schedule for future needs.
Your Puppy will receive:
1.  Vaccination at 4 weeks of age ( NeoPar , Parvo shot only)
2. Vaccination at 6 weeks of age (5 way shot)
3. Vaccination at 9 weeks of age, if still here
4. Wormings at 2,4,6,8,etc. weeks until goes to his/her new home (Safeguard, 3 day in a row)
5.  Ear Mite Prevention at 2, 4, 6 weeks of age. ( Drops in ear if needed)
(If you are receiving your Puppy after the age of 12 weeks,
he/she will have its recommended 12 weeks Vac. )
Vaccination for Rabies from our Vet (only if your state requires it at 12 weeks)Vaccination at 9 weeks of age

**HOW WILL MY PUPPY BE SHIPPED TO ME**

​SHIPPING BY AIR DETAILS & COST
Your puppy is raised by us to be Healthy and Strong.  Your puppy will do just fine traveling via Airline to your City.  Airfare Cost is an additional $400.00 or higher for the use of American Airlines. If we have to use Continental Airlines the amount may be higher but will let you know.  Reason is, there might be an overlay and the airlines charges a kennel charge to put the puppy on a trailer with air condition/heater for the layover or extreme heat or cold.  This also depends on where you live.  The amount covers the airfare, travel crate, Vet Health Certification. 
GROUND TRANSPIRATION DETAILS & COST
We use a ground shipper that will do their best to get as close to your address as possible.  I will let you know how close they can get to your address ASAP.  The rate is $375.00-$400.00.  The amount covers Ground Transpiration & Vet Health Certification.  Ground transpiration is very safe for the puppy.  There is little stress and there will be someone that will watch over you new addition 24/7 to make sure he/she is doing good on the trip.  Food and water is be available at all times if needed.

I USE A PROFESSIONAL TO SHIP YOUR PUPPY!
THEY ONLY SHIP ON TUESDAYS IF USING AIR TRANSPORTATION 

We take your puppy to a PROFESSIONAL SHIPPER  the night before your puppy is to be flown to you or delivered by ground.  There they are giving the best care and will be in the best care until the are placed on the airplane or passenger vehicle.  If your puppy is being flown, your puppy will travel in a large travel crate, 26" L x 17" H x 18" W (Bigger crate if your puppy if older).  This travel crate is large and you can use it in your home as your puppy grows.  This gives your puppy plenty of room in this travel crate while its flying to you.   The crate will have shredded paper and food/water bowl. The shipper will feed your Puppy less for flight it is better for them to travel empty than full.  Water is supplied at all times.  If your puppy is being shipped by ground transportation, the same conditions.  Your puppy will be in a large crate, have access to he/her food and water and watched over which in transport.  You will not get a crate for your puppy if using ground transportation.

SHIPPING BY AIR ONLY
Below is a picture of what your puppy is shipped in & may come in different colors.
You will be provided in advance the Air Waybill # or Confirmation # and flight plan via e-mail.  Print the flight information etc and bring with you to the airport.  You will need a valid ID, and We have to address Puppy to whom will be receiving Puppy.
I will be tracking Puppies flight online or by text until Puppy arrives and is received by yourself.
